Scholarships

Do you want to become a Lek scholarships holder?

At Lek, we offer opportunities for professional and personal development to motivated students who are eager to learn new skills. With us, you can unleash your talents and creativity and gain valuable work experience.

What are the conditions for awarding a scholarship to a student?

You need to be a student and apply using the scholarship application form on our website.

What is the selection process for the scholarship?

The first step is to register using the form on the Lek website. Our heads of units then select the scholarship recipients following interviews with each individual. These interviews also serve as an opportunity to discuss the specific details of the job that the scholarship recipients will undertake.

What are a scholarship holder's main obligations?

  • Before starting work and entering into the scholarship agreement, a medical examination is required.
  • For a co-funded academic year, scholarship holders complete a minimum of 160 hours of work experience at Lek. Internships will normally take place during school breaks unless the school's curriculum allows for internships to take place during the school year.
  • At the end of the scholarship, the scholarship holder will remain employed by Lek for a period of twice the duration of the scholarship period. If the scholarship holder terminates the employment contract before the end of this period, they are obliged to return a proportionate share of the scholarship funding received.
  • Scholarship holders are released from all obligations to Lek in certain cases: if we do not provide them with an employment contract within 60 days of receiving written notification of completion of their studies, or if they become permanently unable to study and work with us.

What is the amount of the scholarship?

According to the needs of each division/platform/unit, the amount of the scholarship is:

  • for students: 25% of the net minimum salary in the Republic of Slovenia in the year of the application;
  • for college students: 40% of the net minimum salary in the Republic of Slovenia in the year of the application.

The amount of the scholarship is adjusted each year at the start of the academic year for the following academic year according to the minimum salary in the Republic of Slovenia in the current calendar year.
