Our volunteers join Paralympic Camp in Laško
In Laško, the Sports Federation for the Disabled of Slovenia – Slovenian Paralympic Committee organized the traditional Pralympic Camp for Families, where young people with disabilities and their families learned more about various Para sports. As part of the accompanying program, Lek volunteers held workshops intended to introduce science to the young participants in an entertaining and friendly way. They also took an active part in the implementation of the rich program itself.
At the camp, children and adults got to know various Para sports, such as Para dancing, Para table tennis, Para archery, sitting volleyball, Para climbing and many others. Part of the program was aimed at parents and consisted of a round table with various experts, as well as professional Para athlete Luka Trtnik and his mother, who gave first-hand insight into the experiences and challenges faced by young Para athletes and their parents. The camp concluded with a sport competition between families to promote friendship and teamwork.
Lek, a Sandoz company, participated at the camp for the second year in a row as a silver partner to the Sports Federation for the Disabled of Slovenia – Slovenian Paralympic Committee. Their volunteers helped implement the program itself, as well as organized an insightful workshop where they introduced science to the younger participants through various experiments. “Taking part at the Paralympic Camp for Families is one of the cornerstones of our partnership with the ŠIS-SPK Federation, especially as we have the privilege to help organize it. This allows us to get familiar with Para sports and young Para athletes, who inspire us with their drive and ambition. We are looking forward to participating at the first winter camp, which will take place the coming February in Rogla,” said Mojca Pavlin, Senior Communications Manager at Corporate Affairs.
