A new Sustainability Report for Lek, a Sandoz company

Lek, a Sandoz Company, has published an updated and comprehensive overview of economic, environmental and social impacts of its business operations and their multi-annual trends in a Sustainability report 2013 for Lek d.d..

Upon releasing the results of sustainability indicators of Lek’s business, Vojmir Urlep, President of the Board of Management, emphasized: ‘’ Focusing on complex products and concomitant care for the health of the employees, safety and the environment, marked our entire business operations as well as our economic, environmental and social impacts. At Novartis, we asserted ourselves through our openness to innovation and the ability to transfer research results into production. In 2013 we proved this also by gaining the position of a leading Sandoz company introducing new products into production.’‘

A new Sustainability Report 2013 for Lek d.d. includes indicators, prepared according to the requirements of the Responsible Care Initiative (RCI), the Eco-Management Scheme (EMAS) and in compliance with the latest international reporting guidelines (GRI), as the new generation of G4 guidelines was already implemented a year before the required enforcement thereof.
