Asist. Prof. Samo Rožman, PhD, from the Sandoz Development Center Slovenia, is the recipient of the Minařik Award

Asist. Prof. Samo Rožman, PhD, Global  Medical Development Manager from Sandoz Development Center Slovenia, is this year's recipient of the prestigious Minařik Award, the highest award of the Slovenian Pharmaceutical Society.

He received the award for his contribution to the recognition of clinical pharmacists in clinical practice and to the recognition of the Slovenian Pharmaceutical Society's Section of Clinical Pharmacists. "I am extremely honoured and grateful for this recognition. It is a confirmation of the many years of work and effort I have put into the development of clinical pharmacy. I look forward to continuing my work and to contributing to the advancement of pharmacy in Slovenia and beyond," he said upon receiving the award.

Asist. Prof. Samo Rožman completed his specialisation in clinical pharmacy in 2011 and his PhD in pharmacokinetics of monoclonal antibodies at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Ljubljana, in 2016. Throughout his career, he has been committed to patient welfare and to raising the profile of oncology and clinical pharmacy. He is the author of numerous scientific and professional articles, publications for students and specialists in the health sciences, and Slovenian clinical guidelines in the field of lymphoma and palliative care. In 2023, he was elected Assistant Professor of Pharmacy at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Maribor.
