Lek is the recipient of the prestigious title ‘the most reputable employer’, presented by the recruitment portal MojeDelo.com. The survey involves experts from academia and business, as well as students and candidates in the job market, who assess the reputation of Slovenian employers. This year, the survey attracted 12000 respondents who chose Novartis in Slovenia as the absolute winner and the winner of individual five categories. Lek received the title for the second year in a row, for the third time in total.

Robert Ljoljo, President of the Board of Management of Lek and Novartis Country President, Slovenia, who received the award at the virtual award ceremony, said: »The title of the most reputable employer after more than a year of confrontation with COVID-19 carries particular weight as we are aware that we have successfully endured this period because of our employees and our culture, which we have been co-creating together for a long time. We believe that motivated employees are a prerequisite for the development, progress and success of the company, therefore developing an unbossed, curious and inspiring culture based on the diversity and involvement of the individual, is our priority. I am pleased that the values we live in the company are also visible externally, which further motivates us to constantly improve the working environment for our employees and to inspire other Slovenian companies. Receiving the title for the second year in a row means that we have managed to maintain and upgrade our role as a responsible employer despite a challenging period. I am convinced that with our colleagues we will continue to build an unbossed, inclusive and agile culture, which will continue to place us at the very top of the reputable employers and pharmaceutical companies«.

Through continuous investment, Novartis in Slovenia creates the conditions for new, advanced forms of work with active work solutions that are in line with Novartis’ efforts to continuously improve the work environment. Last year, the company also introduced the Choice with Responsibility working model, which gives employees the opportunity to decide how, where and when to perform their work, depending on the nature of their work. Together with the elimination of the old hierarchical structure and the introduction of an empowered culture, their work is based on collaboration, listening and learning, which enables agility and innovation for breakthrough solutions needed to stand out in the demanding pharmaceutical market and fulfill their mission, to care for patients worldwide.

At the end of last year, Novartis in Slovenia was the first and only pharmaceutical company in Slovenia to obtain the prestigious international certificate »Top Employer 2021« for the best employer in Slovenia, as well as in Europe and globally.
