Raul Intriago Lombeida, member of Board of Management of Lek d.d.

Raul is originally from Ecuador and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Augusta State University in the US, a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Economics and is APICS CPIM certified.

Raul started his career at Lek in 2008 in the area of finance as a plant controller for the oral dosage forms manufacturing site. In 2010, he moved to the area of supply chain leading the planning, purchasing and logistics for the same manufacturing site and helping the site to cope with the growth during those years coming especially from the launches of new products. Later in 2013, he assumed the responsibility of Supply Chain Director for Slovenia helping further the organization to continue to be one of the leading supply centers for the Sandoz network.

In 2016, Raul joined the global supply chain organization for Novartis Technical Operations in Basel where he was responsible for the global supply chain of the aseptics manufacturing network for Novartis. In this role, he was responsible to keep reliable supply for 10 manufacturing sites across the world with important products across the Novartis portfolio of innovative medicines and generics.

At the end of 2018, Raul took a further challenge to lead the Global Strategy and Transformation for Global Supply Chain where he was key in the implementation of new operating model for supply chain across the globe covering more than 60 manufacturing sites and over 150 countries.

As of September 1, 2019 Raul has moved back to Ljubljana and has been appointed to lead two Global Operations Centers for Novartis Technical Operations providing global services to entire Novartis manufacturing network. One of the operations centers is located in Slovenia and the second one is located in India.

Effective October 1, 2019, Raul has been appointed a Member of the Lek d. d. Board of Management.
